The Washington Capitals scored more goals than everyone but the Dallas Stars this season, and boasted six 20-goal scorers.
Among those to reach the 20-goal plateau was winger Jason Chimera, who rebounded nicely after only finding the back of the net seven times in 2014-15.
Chimera, who turns 37 in May, attributed his success to his status as an elder statesman.
"I'm like fine wine, I get better with age," Chimera told reporters Wednesday.
After the wisecrack, Chimera admitted the key was actually spending time on the power play with the team's leading scorer, Evgeny Kuzsnetsov.
