Cat safe and sound after running on ice before Game 1 in San Jose

There was some confusion about what happened to the black cat that ran on to the ice before Game 1 between the San Jose Sharks and Nashville Predators, but that was quickly cleared up.
Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area appeared to have the scoop Saturday afternoon.
The black cat on the ice last night was simply shooed out of the building. Sorry for the unhappy ending.

Sharks PR man Scott Emmert set the record straight a few hours later.
@KKurzCSN Not true. The cat has been found at SAP Center and is safe with food and water. More details to follow.

The cat emerged from the Sharks bench before San Jose's 5-2 victory over Nashville on Friday night.
