Joonas Kemppainen's North American experiment is over.
The Finnish forward has signed a one-year contract with Sibir Novosibirsk in the KHL, the club announced Saturday.
Kemppainen split this season with the Boston Bruins and their AHL affiliate in Providence, collecting only five points in 44 NHL games.
The Bruins signed him to a one-year deal last spring after he spent nine years in the Finnish Elite League.
