Bruins will take one last shot at signing Eriksson: 'It may not happen'
The Boston Bruins and Loui Eriksson are reportedly at an impasse with respect to a contract extension, but the club will take one more shot at signing the winger before he hits free agency, general manager Don Sweeney said Thursday.
Sweeney on Loui: "our position was that we really value Loui & what he brings to the table & we'd like to find a fit, but it may not happen"

The length of the deal is apparently what's holding negotiations up.
Eriksson, 31 on July 17, is one of the premier offensive talents set to hit the market on July 1. He scored 30 goals last season.
Sweeney also added that defenseman Zach Trotman and backup goalie Jonas Gustavsson will hit free agency, likely ending their time with the club.
I'm regards to other impending UFAs, Sweeney said that he's been in talks with Lee's group, Liles as well. Trotman will be going to market.

Sweeney was asked about Gustavsson; mentioned Malcolm as strong candidate. "We're going to look at all of the possibilities for goaltending"
