Report: Kings sign Teddy Purcell to 1-year contract

The Los Angeles Kings have reportedly signed forward Teddy Purcell to a one-year, $1.6-million contract, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
The 30-year-old recorded 43 points in 76 games last season split between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers, and added a pair of goals during a first-round playoff series against the New York Islanders.
Purcell is taking a significant pay cut after making $4.5 million per season the past three years in a deal signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2013.
