Kings' Tanner Pearson: Slapped with four-game suspension
Pearson will be suspended for the final two preseason games and the first two regular-season contests, Curtis Zupke of the Los Angeles Times reports. The winger is being disciplined for delivering a shot to the head of Oilers defenseman Brandon Davidson on Sunday.
Analysis:
The ruling by the NHL's Department of Player Safety is not all that surprising when you consider Davidson left that game with an apparent head injury and did not return. Pearson will be reinstated in time for a road game against the Wild on Oct. 18.
