Canucks' Emerson Etem: Placed on waivers

Etem was placed on waivers by the Canucks on Tuesday.

Analysis:

Even had Etem earned a spot on the roster, his playing time would have been limited. His skill set really only translates to leagues that count hits (87 in 58 games last season). He did fling an even 100 shots on net over that span as well, but managed to convert those into just seven goals. Etem's likely bound to be a fringe NHL player in 2015-16.
