Sean Monahan played the part of the hero by scoring an overtime goal against Buffalo on Tuesday, but the Sabres took exception to the apparent cross-check levied on Sam Reinhart that led to the winning play.

The goal was Monahan's second of the year, and gave the Calgary Flames their first win of the young season.
