Rangers' Brandon Pirri: Leads team in power-play time
Pirri's 4:05 of power-play time led the Rangers during Wednesday's game against Detroit.
Analysis:
Quickly becoming somewhat of a specialist with the man advantage for New York, Pirri has averaged just 10:36 of ice time through the first four games of the season, but he has received a hefty 3:21 per night with the man advantage. He registered a goal and an assist in the season opener, but hasn't hit the scoresheet since. Additionally, Pirri doesn't move the needle in the peripheral categories. He's capable of climbing the lineup and contributing more offense, but the Rangers will likely need to suffer an injury before Pirri receives the opportunity. It's tough to be optimistic about the fantasy prospects of a player seeing such limited ice time, even if a large chunk of it comes with the man advantage.
