The Colorado Avalanche appear set to add even more firepower to the lineup.
Mikko Rantanen - who injured his ankle during a summer rookie tournament game - has been recalled from the AHL's San Antonio Rampage, with whom he appeared in four games on a conditioning stint to start the season.
Drafted 10th overall in 2015, Rantanen recorded 24 goals and 36 assists in 52 games for the Rampage last season, splitting AHL Rookie of the Year honors with Providence's Frank Vatrano.
Rantanen failed to record a point in nine games with the Avs last season, and could make his 2016-17 NHL debut Friday against Winnipeg.
