Ducks' Emerson Etem: In the lineup Wednesday

Despite being waived by Anaheim on Wednesday morning, Etem is in the Ducks' lineup for the evening's game against Nashville.

Analysis:

Ryan Getzlaf (forearm) was considered a game-time decision for Anaheim's matchup with the Predators, so the Ducks likely kept Etem around as an insurance policy in case Getzlaf couldn't go. The Ducks' captain was ultimately held out of Wednesday's contest with a forearm injury, giving Etem the opportunity to draw into his third game of the season. If Etem goes unclaimed, he'll likely be sent to the Ducks' AHL affiliate once either Getzlaf or Rickard Rakell (personal) is cleared to return to game action.
