Alex Ovechkin made a young fan's night Tuesday in Edmonton.

Prior to a 4-1 loss to the Oilers - in which he scored the Washington Capitals' lone goal - the great goal scorer offered one of his sticks after it came to his attention that a kid in the stands was wearing his jersey.

A friendly exchange that won't soon be forgotten by the new stick bearer.
