Penguins' Matt Murray: Clears protocol but doesn't return

Murray cleared the concussion protocol after leaving Wednesday's game and returned to the bench, Pens Inside Scoop reports.

Analysis:

Coach Mike Sullivan decided to stick with Marc-Andre Fleury for the rest of the contest, but it sounds as though Murray didn't display any further ill effects after taking a stick to the face from teammate Evgeni Malkin. Assuming nothing surfaces in the coming days, his next chance to return between the pipes would come Friday against the Islanders.
