Fans of the Boston Bruins are forever grateful for "the Ultimate Bruin."
On Thursday, the team honored former captain Milt Schmidt in a pregame ceremony, lowering his No. 15 banner from the rafters. The Bruins also painted his number on the ice surface behind each goal.
Bruins will wear a Schmidt No. 15 commemorative patch on game swearers for remainder of 2016-17.
