Report: Sens asking for high pick in return for Lazar
Curtis Lazar may have a new address come March 1.
The Ottawa Senators forward was a healthy scratch Tuesday for a fourth straight game, and his name is gaining traction as the deadline nears. General manager Pierre Dorion is looking for a high draft pick - "talking first or second" - in return for the 22-year-old, according to Postmedia's Bruce Garrioch.

TSN's Darren Dreger also chimed in Tuesday night, saying a meeting between Lazar's agent and Dorion is expected this weekend. Dreger opined that he "wouldn't be surprised if (Lazar) requests (a) trade."
Lazar is still highly valued by Ottawa, but he needs to play to develop which would be his motivation for change.

Lazar, drafted 17th overall in 2013, has one assist in 29 games.
Any hope for a breakthrough season after the winger had six goals and 14 assists in 76 games last campaign is no more.
A 41-goal scorer in his final year of junior hockey, Lazar's offensive game hasn't translated at the NHL level. He had six goals in 67 games in 2014-15, his rookie season.

Based on what Lazar's done at the NHL level, Ottawa's price appears exorbitantly high at the moment. That could change over the next 14 days, and as soon as early next week.
