Mumps don't seem fun.
Defenseman Chris Tanev is one of several Vancouver Canucks to fall prey to the virus in recent days. Prior to learning of the diagnosis, he had another ailment in mind.
Tanev was in San Diego when he started feeling off. He thought he had a broken jaw it got so painful. He isn't sure he'll be ready Tuesday.

Tanev was able to skate Monday, but no firm timetable has been set for his return to the lineup.
