Stars' Ales Hemsky: Cleared to play

Hemsky (hip) is healthy enough to suit up against the Islanders on Thursday.

Analysis:

Even though Hemsky is eligible to return, coach Lindy Ruff told reporters no decision had been made on the winger's status. Given the depth of talent the Stars have on the right side, the 33-year-old may need to move over to the left in order to crack the lineup. Technically, Hemsky remains on injured reserve, but he should be activated prior to puck drop.
