The Calgary Flames have accomplished a feat they hadn't seen since moving to Alberta.
Saturday's 3-0 win over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday night marked the club's ninth consecutive victory, something the Flames haven't done since 1978 when they were stationed in Atlanta, per Statscentre.
Here's Calgary's body of work during its torrid stretch:
Opponent | Result |
---|---|
Predators | 6-5 (OT) |
Lightning | 3-2 |
Panthers | 4-2 |
Hurricanes | 3-1 |
Kings | 2-1 (OT) |
Red Wings | 3-2 (OT) |
Islanders | 5-2 |
Canadiens | 5-0 |
Jets | 3-0 |
The 1978-79 Atlanta Flames would go on to win 10 straight, a franchise record Calgary can match with a win Monday.
