NHL releases 2017-18 schedule

The NHL unveiled the full schedule for the 2017-18 season on Thursday, one day after the 31 teams announced their home openers for the coming campaign.
Here are some games to watch out for:
- The Pittsburgh Penguins and Nashville Predators will face off in a rematch of the Stanley Cup Final on Oct. 7.
- The classic rivalry of Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins taking on Alex Ovechkin and Washington Capitals reignites on Oct. 11.
- Hockey's oldest rivalry continues between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens, who first renew hostilities on Oct. 14.
- The Buffalo Sabres and New York Rangers will take it outdoors on Jan. 1 as part of the 2018 Winter Classic at Citi Field.
- The Vegas Golden Knights, led by goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, will head to Pittsburgh on Feb. 6 to take on the Penguins.
The puck drops for the first time in the 2017-18 regular season on Oct. 4.
