The San Jose Sharks drafted center Josh Norris with the 19th overall pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft on Friday.

Entering the draft, Norris was the 34th-ranked North American skater. The Oxford, Mich., native is committed to play in the NCAA next year for his home-state Wolverines.
Last season, in 61 games playing for the U.S. National Under-18 team, Norris was a point-per-game player while also registering 27 goals.
Norris adds some much-needed depth at center in San Jose, a position the team is currently lacking.
