The Montreal Canadiens signed forward Jacob De La Rose to a one-year deal on Wednesday, the team announced.

It's a one-way contract and will pay the 22-year-old $725,000, according to TSN's Pierre LeBrun.

De La Rose split last season between the Canadiens and the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League. He went pointless in nine games with the big club, while compiling 14 goals and 31 points in 62 games with the IceCaps.
