Hecht, who had been playing in Germany during the NHL lockout, has agreed to a one-year deal with the Sabres, the Buffalo News reports.
The deal can become official once the NHL's new CBA is ratified, but that is apparently a formality. Hecht played just 22 games last season (notching eight points) because of concussions, bu he noted this past fall that he is completely healthy. He's not much of a scorer these days, however, so his return to Buffalo is of more import to the Sabres' depth up front than it is to fantasy owners.
