Joe Thornton ended T.J. Oshie's night prematurely with a crushing hit to the head along the boards.
The incident took place late in the second period of Monday's game between the San Jose Sharks and Washington Capitals.
Oshie was ruled out for the rest of the game shortly thereafter, and the club added that he'll be re-evaluated Tuesday.
