The Montreal Canadiens traded defenseman Jakub Jerabek to the Washington Capitals on Wednesday for a fifth-round pick in 2019, the team announced.
The deal marks the second time this week the Capitals have dipped into the blue line market, as they acquired Michal Kempny from the Chicago Blackhawks for a third-rounder on Monday.
In 25 games this season, Jerabek, 26, has recorded one goal and three assists.
