New Jersey Devils forward Miles Wood will have a hearing for charging and boarding Tampa Bay Lightning forward Vladislav Namestnikov, the Department of Player Safety announced Sunday.
Here's the hit, which Wood followed up by bloodying defenseman Andrej Sustr in the ensuing scrum.
Wood was given two minor penalties on the play, and to rub salt in Tampa Bay's wound, he later scored the game-winning goal in the third period.
The 22-year-old has no previous suspensions.
