The Calgary Flames claimed forward Chris Stewart off waivers from the Minnesota Wild on Monday, according to The Athletic's Michael Russo.
With the move, the Wild are absolved of Stewart's $1.15-million cap hit.
Meanwhile, the Flames add a depth option to the right side of the ice. The 30-year-old has nine goals and 13 points in 47 games and 39 games of playoff experience.
