The Dallas Stars will be without Ben Bishop for the foreseeable future.
The goaltender was injured upon making a big glove save during Sunday's eventual loss to Winnipeg and was forced to make an early exit.
Following the game, the team announced his lower-body injury will be reevaluated in two weeks.
The Stars are in the thick of the Western Conference playoff race and remain on the outside looking in after the loss to the Jets.
The two-week time frame means Bishop will miss at least six games with a potential return coming in the last week of the regular season.
In 52 appearances this season, Bishop has posted a record of 26-17-5 with a save percentage of .916.
Kari Lehtonen will tend the twine in his absence.
