The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League decided Wednesday to resume its postseason in the wake of the Humboldt Broncos bus accident that claimed 15 lives last Friday, according to Farhan Lalji of TSN.
Hockey was put on hold after the horrific accident, but the decision to complete the season was made with the full support of the Broncos' team and staff.
The bus collided with a tractor trailer as the team traveled to play its SJHL semifinal against the Nipawin Hawks.
The vote to resume the season was a unanimous one, according to Lalji, with Game 1 of the final expected to be Saturday in Nipawin.
