Islanders draft Noah Dobson 12th overall

The Islanders selected Noah Dobson with the 12th overall pick in the NHL draft on Friday night.

Dobson is a great two-way blue-liner, but the offensive side of his game stands out. He has a lethal wrist shot, making him the ideal candidate to help quarterback a power play.

Dobson entered the draft as the second rated defenseman in North America by NHL Central Scouting. He finished second in defenseman scoring in the QMJHL, just five points back of Titan teammate Olivier Galipeau.
