He ranked 10th among European skaters on NHL Central Scouting's final rankings, a notable improvement upon a No. 17 midterm ranking.
Johansson helped Sweden secure bronze medals at the Under-18 World Junior Hockey Championship and the Hlinka Gretzky Cup this past season after winning gold with the Tre Kronor at the Under-17 World Championship last year.
