The St. Louis Blues and defenseman Carl Gunnarsson have agreed on a two-year contract worth $1.75 million annually, the team announced Thursday.
Gunnarsson was slated to become an unrestricted free agent July 1 but is now signed with the Blues through the 2020-21 season.
The 32-year-old was limited to just 25 regular-season games in 2018-19, registering three goals and four assists. He also suited up for 19 playoff contests during the Blues' march to the Stanley Cup and scored the overtime winner in Game 2 of the finals.
