Veteran forward Corey Perry signed a one-year, $1.5-million deal with the Dallas Stars, the team announced Monday.
The deal includes an additional $1.75 million in performance incentives.
Perry underwent knee surgery in September and didn't return to the lineup until February. The 34-year-old struggled when he was healthy, tallying six goals and 10 points in 31 games with the Anaheim Ducks.
The former Hart Trophy winner could still provide some offensive upside for the Stars, as he's just two years removed from a 17-goal, 49-point campaign.
Perry was bought out by the Ducks on June 19 after spending the first 14 years of his career with the club.
The Stars also agreed to terms with fellow free-agent forward Joe Pavelski earlier Monday.
