The Ottawa Senators signed defenseman Ron Hainsey to a one-year, $3.5-million contract, the team announced Monday.
Ottawa also added free-agent forward Tyler Ennis for one year and $800,000.
Both players suited up for the Toronto Maple Leafs this past season. Hainsey posted 23 points while averaging over 20 minutes across 81 games. Ennis recorded 18 points in 51 contests in a fourth-line role.
They won't be the only former Leafs to suit up in Ottawa next season, as the two clubs swung a six-player trade that sent Nikita Zaitsev and Connor Brown to Canada's capital earlier Monday.
The Senators also hired former Leafs assistant D.J. Smith as their head coach earlier in the offseason.
