Kopitar passes Gretzky on Kings' all-time points list

Anze Kopitar has leapfrogged The Great One.
The Los Angeles Kings captain scored twice in a 4-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday to move past Wayne Gretzky into fourth place on the Kings' all-time points list.

Kopitar sits fifth on the club's career goals list, only two markers behind Bernie Nicholls. The Slovenian is also fifth on the team's career assists list, just three helpers shy of Robitaille. Kopitar ranks fourth all time among Los Angeles skaters in games played.
The 32-year-old has returned to form this season despite the Kings' struggles, posting 11 goals and 29 points in 34 contests.
