The Winnipeg Jets have claimed defenseman Luca Sbisa off waivers from the Anaheim Ducks, the team announced Wednesday.
Anaheim signed the veteran blue-liner but had to clear him through waivers first, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
Sbisa is on a one-year deal worth $750,000, according to CapFriendly.
The 29-year-old appeared in nine contests with the New York Islanders last season, during which he recorded one assist. He has 504 games of NHL experience under his belt.
