The Montreal Canadiens traded forward Nate Thompson to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for a 2021 fifth-round pick, the team announced Monday.
Thompson recorded four goals and 10 assists in 63 games with the Canadiens this season. The 35-year-old signed a one-year, $1-million deal with Montreal last summer and is set to become an unrestricted free agent after this season.
The veteran has skated in 760 career NHL games, recording 62 goals, 155 points, and 357 penalty minutes. The Flyers will be his eighth NHL team.
