Mikheyev suffered a significant laceration and was being transported to a local hospital for further evaluation, the Maple Leafs announced late in the contest.
The 25-year-old rookie will remain in the hospital Friday to be evaluated, Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe said postgame.
Mikheyev scored his eighth goal of the season in the first period and now has 23 points in 39 games.
