Guhle entered the draft as the third-ranked North American defenseman and eighth-ranked skater overall. He may not be as offensively gifted as the prospects listed ahead of him, but Guhle skates well for a player his size and has strong instincts on both ends of the ice. His physicality is also an asset that surely piqued the Montreal's interest.
