Wiesblatt followed up an excellent rookie season as a key player in the Raiders' run to the WHL championship with a standout sophomore campaign in 2019-20.
The versatile forward can play both wing and center, and the Raiders utilized the 18-year-old in all situations last season. Wiesblatt is touted for his terrific vision and strong skating ability and has one of the softest set of hands in the draft - especially around the net.
What they're saying
"The 5-foot-10, 183-pound right-shot pivot is a smart and tenacious player on the puck, quick to find openings and excelled after moving to center from right wing late in the season," said NHL.com's Mike Morreale.
"Wiesblatt checks a lot of boxes. He’s very quick and skilled. He makes skilled plays at full speed and is a handful for defenders to stop when he comes barreling down on the rush. His hands stand out, with extremely quick-twitch touches and the ability to inside out defenders. He can attack in a direct style, but also has great vision and can pull up to make a tough play," The Athletic's Corey Pronman said.
