Sourdif is a smart player on both sides of the puck and showed off his promising offensive touch this past season by finishing second on the Giants with 26 goals. He entered the draft as the 23rd-ranked North American skater and should fit well into the XXX's future plans with a few more developmental seasons.
What they're saying
"A two-way forward with good vision and competitiveness, Sourdif is a skilled offensive player capable of retrieving pucks and making plays with consistency. The 5-11, 173-pound right-handed shot is smart on each side of the puck, forechecks hard, and is a proven penalty killer," said NHL.com's Mike Morreale.
