Sabres move up to draft John-Jason Peterka 34th overall
The Buffalo Sabres traded up and drafted German forward John-Jason Peterka with the 34th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft.
Buffalo dealt the 38th and 100th overall picks to the San Jose Sharks to make their pick.

Peterka, who entered the draft as the seventh-ranked international skater, is an enticing offensive prospect that will need more development before making an impact for the Sabres. The 18-year-old struggled to produce points in Germany's top league, but he registered six points in seven contests against players his own age at the most recent world juniors.
