Jarvis was the WHL's third-ranked goalscorer and second-best point producer in 2019-20. His offensive exploits helped the Winterhawks post the league's best record.
The talented forward authored a pair of double-digit point streaks in his draft year, putting up separate runs of 10 and 11 consecutive games with at least one goal or assist this past season.
NHL Central Scouting slotted Jarvis in 11th among North American skaters on its final rankings heading into the draft. He rose from 19th on the midterm edition.
What they're saying
"Jarvis is a dynamic player who ticks a lot of boxes," The Athletic's Corey Pronman wrote. "He is highly skilled and intelligent with a lot of quickness. He has the skill to beat defenders one-on-one, but more importantly, he does so with speed. The high-end pace of his game is what makes him so dangerous and will translate to the higher levels. He has legit NHL speed and very good edges, allowing him to pressure defenders at the highest level with speed and cutbacks."
NHL.com likened Jarvis to Philadelphia Flyers star Claude Giroux.
