Stars bring back Khudobin on reported 3-year, $10M deal
The Dallas Stars re-signed goaltender Anton Khudobin, the team announced Friday.
The deal is a three-year contract with an average annual value of $3.33 million, according to TSN's Pierre LeBrun.
Khudobin turned in the best season of his career during 2019-20, and followed it up by nearly leading the Stars to a Stanley Cup victory. He led the league in save percentage at .930 and also owned a 2.22 goals-against average.
The 34-year-old combined with Ben Bishop to create one of the league's best goaltending tandems over the past two seasons. Over that span, the Stars have allowed the least amount of goals against in the entire NHL.
Since arriving in Dallas in 2018, Khudobin has appeared in 71 games. He's recorded a 32-25-9 record while totaling a .926 save percentage and 2.42 goals-against average.
