The Florida Panthers inked forward Vinnie Hinostroza to a one-year contract, the team announced Friday.
The deal is for $1 million, according to The Athletic's James Mirtle.
Hinostroza, 26, spent the previous two seasons with the Arizona Coyotes. He notched a career-best 16 goals and 39 points in 2018-19, but saw a slight drop-off in production last season, contributing five tallies and 22 points through 68 games.
The 5-foot-9 forward has amassed 34 goals and 66 assists over 246 NHL contests.
The Panthers were among the most active teams during the opening day of free agency. Zito also signed forwards Carter Verhaeghe, Alexander Wennberg, and Ryan Lomberg, along with veteran rearguard Radko Gudas, on Friday.
