The Winnipeg Jets have signed forward Nate Thompson to a one-year, $750,000 contract, reports TSN's Darren Dreger.
The Jets are Thompson's ninth NHL team. The 36-year-old pivot spent last season split between the Montreal Canadiens and Philadelphia Flyers, notching 15 points across 70 games while averaging 12:47 per contest.
For his career, Thompson's recorded 156 points in 767 games.
The Jets had a well-known need to shore up their depth at center ice, and have done so this offseason with the signing of Thompson as well as the acquisition of Paul Stastny from the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday.
