Canada head coach Andre Tourigny didn't provide an update on Dach's status postgame except that he is with team doctors and still needs to undergo X-rays.
The Chicago Blackhawks loaned the 19-year-old to Team Canada with the NHL season not set to begin until Jan. 13.
Chicago drafted Dach third overall in 2019. He spent the majority of the 2019-20 season on the Blackhawks' NHL roster so wasn't on Canada's gold-winning team last year.
The preliminary round is set to begin Friday, but Canada won't play until Saturday.
