Patrik Laine will play his first game for the Columbus Blue Jackets when they host the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night, Blue Jackets head coach John Tortorella confirmed, according to team reporter Jeff Svoboda.

Laine had been in quarantine and also on injured reserve after the Winnipeg Jets traded him to Columbus on Jan. 23.

The Blue Jackets landed the Finnish sniper along with Jack Roslovic in the blockbuster deal that sent Pierre-Luc Dubois to the Jets. Roslovic has already played three games for Columbus. Dubois hasn't yet taken the ice for Winnipeg.

Laine has suited up for only one game this season, notching two goals - including the overtime winner - and an assist in the Jets' win over the Calgary Flames in both clubs' 2021 opener.

The Jets placed the 22-year-old on injured reserve one day before the trade.
