Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Foligno is expected to miss the club's next two games at minimum, head coach Sheldon Keefe announced Wednesday, according to Sportsnet's Chris Johnston.
Foligno was injured in Monday's overtime loss to the Montreal Canadiens. He played just over nine minutes in the contest before being deemed unable to return.
Joe Thornton took Foligno's spot on Toronto's top line alongside Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner at practice Wednesday. The Leafs are back in action Thursday with another clash against the Habs.
Foligno has notched four assists in five games since being acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets prior to the trade deadline.
