Anders Nilsson retires at 31 due to post-concussion symptoms

Veteran goaltender Anders Nilsson is retiring from professional hockey due to post-concussion symptoms, he announced Sunday.
Nilsson last appeared in the NHL during the 2019-20 season with the Ottawa Senators. The 31-year-old also logged stints with the New York Islanders, St. Louis Blues, Edmonton Oilers, Vancouver Canucks, and Buffalo Sabres.
He posted a .907 save percentage over 161 NHL contests and led Sweden to a gold medal at the 2018 world championship.
