It's unclear when Max Pacioretty will return to the Vegas Golden Knights' lineup after the forward underwent wrist surgery Thursday.
It's Pacioretty's second significant injury this season. The skilled forward missed just under six weeks from mid-October to late November with a lower-body ailment.
The 33-year-old has performed sensationally when healthy in 2021-22, racking up 12 goals and nine assists over 16 games.
Pacioretty produced only two points - both assists - over his last five contests. However, he was on a tear before that, scoring in seven straight games while amassing 10 markers and four helpers over that span.
The veteran is in his fourth season with the Golden Knights, who acquired him in a 2018 trade with the Montreal Canadiens. Pacioretty led Vegas in scoring during the 2019-20 campaign when he tallied 32 goals and 66 points in 71 games. He missed seven tilts last season but registered 24 goals and 27 assists across 48 games.
